How do I View the US DJ Network Web Cast? |
It is quite simple. LOOK at The Bottom of this Page and if you see the player just watch us here or click to join in. Lets begin by talking about "Bandwith". Bandwith is the amount of information that can pass through your internet connection ( Think of a pipe being your internet connection and The Water running through the pipe is the information you are sending and receiving. The Bandwith is not only the speed which the water travels BUT it is also depends on the size of the pipe, because more water or information can pass through LARGER pipes. GET IT? if you have dial up not only do you have a small pipe but the water or Info. moves very slow. If you have DSL youre gonna move almost 3 times as fast as Dial up so the pipe is a bit larger and moves faster. If you have Cable or Better, well Thats a Larger Pipe with Faster Water. My main point here is if you go to the Disc-Jockeys blog the bandwith is used up by all of the visitors to the site. But if you go to stickam.com it will take less time on those busy nights. The other point i'm trying to make is that if you're on DSL or Dial-up then BE PATIENT & WAIT for the Video to load even the cable connections can take some time it all depends on HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY WATCHING THE LIVE FEED! I also suggest closing any open and running programs on your computer except your virus scanner. To do this go to the bottom right section fo your screen right to the left og the clock and you can right click on all of those small little icons that are RUNNING on your computer and close them. If you do this you will speed up your computer dramatically! Once you hear the music and or see the LIVE feed (it should say live in green in the top right section fo the stickam screen) Wait for it all to load. Now once youre completely in seeing the video and hearing the music, You can DOUBLE CLICK on the LIVE VIDEO itself and it will ask you for a username and THAT IS ALL no other personal information is needed and you DO NOT have to signup with stickam.com to do this. But HEY, if you are a techie like tom mac or Timmy you can do it very easily by following stickam's directions and we will be able to see you if you have a Cam! Once in the Chat room you will be able to see The Live US DJ Network DJ Feed and the videos of up to 5 other viewers and or US DJ Network feeds too. The Last time we were up we had 3 Different Camera Feeds up and one Visitor had a cam.
